About Anamor Parra

A journey of language, body and connection

I was born and raised in Costa Rica, surrounded by nature, warmth, and a way of life that moves at a different rhythm. From a young age, I was exposed to a more natural way of learning. I went to a small countryside school where we grew food, worked with the land, and learned through experience — not just through books. That early connection to nature and embodied learning has stayed with me ever since. Years later, even after moving into more traditional education systems, I realized that what truly shaped me was that sense of learning through living.

Languages as a bridge to the world

My curiosity for languages has been a constant thread in my life.

Spanish is my native language, and over time I’ve explored English, French, Italian and Portuguese — not just as systems of communication, but as ways of feeling and understanding different cultures.

I pursued a major in French Studies at the University of Costa Rica, and in 2018, I moved to France where I worked as a Spanish teacher in middle and high schools within the Ministry of Education.

That experience deepened my understanding of language not as something to memorize, but as something to inhabit.

Returning to the body

Alongside language, movement has been another essential path.

Since 2014, I’ve been exploring different forms of dance and embodied practices — from Contact Improvisation to African dance, flamenco, contemporary dance, and movement-based therapeutic spaces.

Each of these experiences opened a new door into the body as a place of expression, connection and presence.

In 2022, I began my professional training in Biodanza at Escuela de Biodanza de Costa Rica — a practice that integrates music, movement and human connection.

Since then, Biodanza has become a central part of my life. Not just as a practice, but as a way of relating — to myself, to others, and to life.

Living what I share

In 2021, I moved to a regenerative farm, Finca Sol y Valle, where I began to immerse myself in permaculture, sustainability, and community living.

This experience brought me back to something essential:
a slower, more conscious way of being in relationship with the Earth and with others.

Today, everything I offer is rooted in lived experience — not just theory.

What I create

I design experiences where language becomes something you live, not just something you study.

Spaces where you can:

  • learn Spanish in a natural and immersive way

  • reconnect with your body through movement

  • experience Costa Rica beyond tourism

  • and return to a deeper sense of yourself

This is for those who are not only looking to learn,
but to feel, connect, and transform.

An invitation

If you feel called to explore language, nature and movement in a more meaningful way, I would love to share this space with you.

This is more than a class or a retreat.
It’s an experience of coming back to yourself.

With warmth,
Anamor
